BIOTECHNOLOGY VALLEY

Biotechnology Valley is a biotechnology specialised zone project that is being established. It covers a large ecosystem to include all stakeholders of the sector. With its strong infrastructure and incentive mechanisms, it is a base where qualified biotechnological products with high added value will be produced and these products will be exported to the world.

ECOSYSTEM WITH STRONG INFRASTRUCTURE

The Biotechnology Valley is being built on an area of 262.5 hectares in Istanbul, a bridge connecting Asia and Europe. The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process for this area has been successfully completed and the authorities have approved the construction of the Biotechnology Valley as a base in this region. Infrastructure and superstructure works are being carried out meticulously.

SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT

The Biotechnology Valley will employ 20 thousand qualified people. It is planned that 2 thousand of the employees will be postgraduates, 8 thousand will be undergraduates and 10 thousand will be blue-collar.

Half of Turkey's population consists of people under the age of 33.5. Its young and dynamic population provides sufficient and qualified employment. The Basic Sciences University and Vocational High School to be located in the Biotechnology Valley are among the important projects that support the formation of qualified labour force in the valley. Students will maximise their education by doing internships in the companies in the Valley.
